Frank Mir Making Pro Wrestling Debut During WWE WrestleMania Week

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion is dusting off his wrestling boots...

A former champion in the UFC making the move from the octagon to the squared circle of professional wrestling you say? It'll never catch on...

Almost a year after it was confirmed that Ronda Rousey would be trading in her MMA gloves for wrestling boots, it has been revealed that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir will be doing the same this year.

GCW has announced that Mir - who still fights for Bellator MMA currently - will make his pro wrestling debut for Josh Barnett's Bloodsport on April 4, a few days before WrestleMania takes place inside MetLife Stadium.

At the time of writing, we don't know who Mir will be wrestling.

The show that Mir is appearing on will feature a whole host of familiar names, including the likes of Barnett himself, Filthy Tom Lawlor, Jonathan Gresham, and Timothy Thacher - while Hideki Suzuki, a catch wrestler trained by Billy Robinson, will also be appearing.

If fans are thinking the Bloodsport name sounds familiar, it was the show Matt Riddle had his name attached to during WrestleMania 34 week last year where the Bro took on Minoru Suzuki.
