Advertised WWE SummerSlam 2019 Match Not Happening?

"Red herring."

WWE SummerSlam 2019 takes place on August 11 and the card is already stacked with nine matches officially announced.

However, it looks like one of the proposed bouts may not be taking place.

Coming out of this week's SmackDown Live, The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler was added to the SummerSlam card following a couple of eventful episodes of Miz TV.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer, however, the advertised singles match won't be happening and will be changed as he has labelled the announcement a "red herring."

Over recent times, Meltzer has also reported Ziggler will be having a match on the SummerSlam card, but it won't be against Shawn Michaels.

The Showoff has made endless references to HBK as well as Sweet Chin Music-ing the two-time WWE Hall Of Famer on last week's SmackDown Live. Ziggler even came out to Shawn's music on this week's Raw, so it's strange to see this is apparently leading to nothing...

The other legend Ziggler has been insulting on WWE TV over recent weeks is Goldberg. Dolph has been labelling things "Goldberg bad" in reference to the former Universal Champion's match with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

Could Ziggler be facing Goldberg at SummerSlam? Only time will tell.
