AEW Announces Grand Slam II For New York City

AEW returns to The Big Apple

AEW is returning to Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.

AEW announced during Sunday's Forbidden Door pay-per-view that the second annual Grand Slam will take place on Wednesday night, September 21 at the home of the US Open.

The Grand Slam taping includes both the live Dynamite and Friday's Rampage. In the case of last year's Grand Slam, the Friday Rampage was a special two-hour broadcast.

Tickets for Grand Slam officially go on sale Friday, July 22, with an online presale a few days earlier.

A reported 20,177 fans (a company record) were at Arthur Ashe Stadium last September to witness the first Grand Slam. The Dynamite broadcast included a 30-minute draw between then-World champion Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson, as well as Dr. Britt Baker retaining her Women's title over Ruby Soho, and Malakai Black beating Cody Rhodes.

The Friday Rampage broadcast featured Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston beating Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki in a "lights out" match, Men of the Year beating Chris Jericho and Jake Hager, and CM Punk defeating Powerhouse Hobbs.
