AEW Announces Location For Promotion's "Anniversary" Broadcast Of Dynamite

For January 8...

It was January 8 of this year that the principal figures of All Elite Wrestling held their introductory press conference in Jacksonville.

Since January 8, 2020 falls on a Wednesday, one might've assumed that the "River City" would have been the ideal location for that evening's Dynamite, but instead, the New Year's Day edition of the show will emanate from Jacksonville.

The anniversary show will take place elsewhere, and it's a curious choice. On Monday, AEW announced The Landers Center in Southaven, MS as the location for the January 8, 2020 edition of Dynamite.

The city is located on the northernmost border of Mississippi, and is situated just 14 miles away from Memphis, TN, a proximity acknowledged by AEW's announcement tweet.

The Landers Center is a 10,000 seat building that was the home of Impact Wrestling's Slammiversary in 2008. That event, however, only drew a reported 2000 fans.

The upcoming locations for AEW Dynamite are as follows:

*November 6: Charlotte, NC (Bojangles Coliseum)

*November 13: Nashville, TN (Municipal Auditorium)

*November 20: Indianapolis, IN (Indiana Farmers Coliseum)

*November 27: Chicago, IL (Sears Center Arena)

*December 4: Champaign, IL (State Farm Center)

*December 11: Garland, TX (Curtis Culwell Center)

*December 18: Corpus Christi, TX (American Bank Center Arena)

*January 1: Jacksonville, FL (Daily's Place)

*January 8: Southaven, MS (Landers Center)
