AEW Blood And Guts II Announced For 6/29 In Detroit

The two rings and cage will return

Blood and Guts will make its return to AEW on the June 29 edition of AEW Dynamite, which takes place at Detroit's Little Caesars Arena.

The match name was invoked earlier in the night by (who else) William Regal, when he and Eddie Kingston verbally confronted The Jericho Appreciation Society during a promo. Regal said the match name in the same manner that he'd once said, "War Games".

Though the teams for the match are not official, it would in all likelihood be Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker against Kingston, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Santana, and Ortiz.

The two sides faced off in "Anarchy at the Arena" at Sunday's Double or Nothing. Jericho and Hager drew a technical submission from Danielson for the win.

On Dynamite, Kingston lured Hager, Menard, and Parker into attacking him, allowing Ortiz to jump the rail and attack an isolated Jericho with his trademark "mad-ball". Ortiz then cut out a chunk of Jericho's hair with a pair of scissors, before escaping. An angry Jericho then challenged Ortiz to a hair vs. hair match at an undetermined future date.

The first Blood and Guts match took place in May of 2021 in Jacksonville. In that match, The Pinnacle defeated The Inner Circle.
