AEW: Dynamite Results - February 24, 2021: Archer vs. Fenix

All the results from last night’s Dynamite as we inch closer to Revolution

AEW: Dynamite was broadcast once again from Daily’s Place, Florida, as the road to AEW: Revolution on March 7 gained momentum.

After last week’s monumental announcement of Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match, Mox made short work of Ryan Nemeth then claimed that if everything comes to an end at Revolution then it’ll be a hell of a way to go out. Kenny Omega was seen constructing a ‘Jon Moxley Extermination Chamber’ and swinging a hammer about in a metal work shop somewhere.

Team Taz were in action against The Varsity Blondes, with Brian Cage and Ricky Starks getting the win. After the actions of last week when Cage powerbombed Sting, Sting appeared with a bodybag containing Taz’s son Hook, as Darby Allin ziplined to the ring and all hell broke loose.

Several matches were made official for Revolution, with Kip Sabian & Miro taking on Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor. Miro, Kip, and Penelope Ford sat down with Tony Schiavone, where Miro offered ‘Charles’ another chance to ‘return home and be a man’. A Casino Tag Team Royale was also announced for Revolution, with the winners getting an AEW Tag Title shot.

Elsewhere Jake Hager made short work of Brandon Cutler, as Chris Jericho and MJF attacked a bloody Papa Buck backstage as The Young Bucks rushed to his aid. Adam Page got the win over Isiah Kassidy, as an enraged Matt Hardy vowed to hurt Page and The entire Dark Order, starting with 5 who got launched through a table from the entrance platform.

Nyla Rose saw off Britt Baker to advance to the semi-finals of the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, with the remaining USA Bracket quarter-finals of Riho vs. Thunder Rosa, and the final match of the Japanese bracket to take place on Sunday.

This week’s main event saw Lance Archer and Rey Fenix beat seven bells out of one another for a spot in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. Archer won with The Blackout becoming entrant number four. Dark Order’s 10 will take on The Acclaimed’s Max Caster for spot number five next week.
