AEW World Title Match Official For WrestleDream 2024

Which match will main event AEW WrestleDream?

The AEW World Championship match at All Elite Wrestling's WrestleDream pay-per-view has been made official.

On October 12 in Tacoma, Washington, Bryan Danielson will put the AEW World Title on the line against his former Blackpool Combat Club ally Jon Moxley. The match was made official following Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday night as Jon Moxley defeated Darby Allin following a middle rope Death Rider to earn Darby's guaranteed title shot.

Danielson attacked Moxley following his Grand Slam win, choking Moxley with a purple tie before Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir made the save. The AEW World Champion still ended the show standing tall after Private Party and Komander made the save.

Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson were initially rivals, facing each other at Revolution 2022, but they formed the Blackpool Combat Club with William Regal after their match and a couple of Regal slaps. The two men remained aligned - although they did face each other for the AEW World Title at Grand Slam 2022 - until Moxley, PAC, and Castagnoli turned on Danielson at All Out 2024.

When Bryan Danielson loses the AEW World Championship, his full-time in-ring career will come to an end. AEW's original plans were for Darby Allin to win the world title from Danielson. If AEW have the same plans in mind for Moxley is unknown.
