Batista Confirms He Won't Be Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame This Year

The Animal will miss this year's ceremony

Batista has confirmed that he will not be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year, with a prior obligation keeping him out of the ceremony.

Batista had been announced as one of the headline inductees for the Class Of 2020 Hall Of Fame, which was postponed due to the then-developing COVID-19 pandemic, but WWE has since confirmed that the Class Of 2020 would be inducted on the same night as the Class Of 2021, on Tuesday 6 April.

However, the former Evolution member has taken to social media to announce he is unable to be in attendance at the event this year and has therefore asked WWE to defer his induction, so that he might be able to physically attend.

Writing on Twitter he said: "To the @WWEUniverseUnfortunately due to previous obligations I am unable to be a part of the @WWE #HOF this year. By my request they have agreed to induct me at a future ceremony where I’ll be able to properly thank the fans and people who made my career possible."

The Class Of 2020 will now see John 'Bradshaw' Layfield, The New World Order, Jushin 'Thunder' Liger, The Bella Twins and The British Bulldog inducted. So far, Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff have been confirmed for the Class Of 2021 Hall Of Fame.
