Bobby Lashley's WWE Departure Confirmed

Bobby Lashley gone from WWE

WWE have officially confirmed that Bobby Lashley is no longer a part of the company, moving his WWE.com profile to the alumni section on the roster page. Lashley was previously listed as an active member of the roster as part of Friday Night SmackDown.

Lashley was expected to leave WWE, with it emerging last week that the former WWE Champion's contract expired on the weekend beginning August 10. It has been known since July that Bobby Lashley and MVP would be exiting WWE when their deals expire and they are reportedly looking to reform the Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin in All Elite Wrestling. Lashley has been discussed backstage in AEW.

MVP became a free agent in recent weeks, while Shelton Benjamin has been a free agent since his WWE release in September 2023. If talks have since taken place between the trio and AEW is unknown but Lashley recently noted that he isn't currently medically cleared to wrestle following a freak injury in May. The 48-year-old expects to be cleared within a month, however.

Lashley's exit ends his second run with WWE. He became a two-time WWE Champion, a two-time Intercontinental Champion, and a three-time United States Champion during his six-year second stint.
