Braun Strowman & Shane McMahon Had Wanted To Work Together In WWE For Years

"Behind the scenes, we have a very good relationship"

On the road to WrestleMania 37, Braun Strowman found himself locked in a feud with Shane McMahon. The rivalry centred around McMahon calling The Monster Among Men stupid and doing everything possible to embarrass Strowman in some truly awful segments.

Their Steel Cage match at WrestleMania was ultimately entertaining, though, and featured memorable moments like Braun ripping through the cage to get at The Prodigal Son.

Strowman has since revealed during an interview with Bleacher Report that he and Shane had wanted to work together on TV for a long time.

"It was a seed that had been planted for a while. Shane and I have wanted to do one for quite a few years now. Behind the scenes, we have a very good relationship, and let's be real: Shane's a lunatic. That works great with my style because I don't go out there and think about anything. I just do it. It ended up working out well," Braun said.

Since that win at The Showcase Of The Immortals, Strowman has moved on to the WWE Title picture and he will face Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley for the gold at WrestleMania Backlash.
