Brian Myers Joins IMPACT Wrestling

The former TNA World Tag Team Champion returns...

At Slammiversary 2020, five former WWE Superstars either returned or debuted in IMPACT Wrestling. Heath Slater was the first former Superstar to appear as he made his debut and reunited with former tag team partner Rhino.

Most of the surprises were saved for the main event, however, as Eric Young was revealed as a mystery participant in the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship match. EY was ultimately unsuccessful as Eddie Edwards captured the gold, but before the new champion could celebrate, Ace Austin and Madman Fulton attacked him. This led to the debut of The Good Brothers who made the save for the new world champion. Then, before the pay-per-view went off the air, EC3 appeared on the titantron to send an ominous message to the rest of the roster.

IMPACT Wrestling had one more surprise in store as Brian Myers returned to the promotion during a vignette on last night's episode of IMPACT!. During the short clip, a hooded figure could be seen standing in a wrestling ring while words of encouragement played in the background. The camera then zoomed in and the man lifted their head, revealing themselves as Myers.

The former Raw Tag Team Champion didn't waste any time in mentioning his former employers as he promptly tweeted: "Well, @VinceMcMahon I'm sorry, I love you. *superkick @IMPACTWRESTLING Let's. Go."

This marks Myers second run in IMPACT as he previously wrestled in the promotion during the Global Force Wrestling invasion angle. During his brief spell with the company, he teamed with Trevor Lee and they enjoyed a one-day reign as TNA World Tag Team Champions.
