Chuck Taylor To Never Wrestle Again, According To Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta

Chuck Taylor's in-ring career is finished

Chuck Taylor's in-ring career is over, according to Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta anyway.

Chucky T has been hampered by injuries over the past several months and he has only had one match since October 2023, facing his former best friend Trent Beretta in a Parking Lot Fight on the April 27 edition of AEW Rampage. Taylor would ultimately lose that match and Orange Cassidy announced on the May 1 episode of Dynamite that Chuck will never wrestle again.

This led to a confrontation between Cassidy and Beretta and All Elite Wrestling confirmed the two former friends will face off in singles action on May 8.

Beretta addressed Taylor's injury in a digital exclusive, stating that the two-time PWG World Champion's career was over.

"Man, I feel good. I mean, I'm beat to sh*t, but this is the best I've felt in years. Chuck Taylor's career is over. He needs surgery. He's never gonna wrestle again. You want me to feel sorry? Sorry that the guy that rode my coattails, coasted by on my coattails for 10 years is done? Chuck hasn't had his head in the game for a long time now. So I took him out of the game, and I'm not sorry. I'm not sorry. Orange Cassidy, it's your turn now," Trent said.

If Chuck Taylor's in-ring career is genuinely over or simply a part of the storyline following the dissolution of Best Friends is unknown.
