CM Punk Makes Comment On WWE Storyline

CM Punk’s social media activity has been the subject of a lot of talk over the last few days. After posting a lengthy Instagram story concerning both AEW management and fellow wrestlers, he has been at the centre of both controversy and speculation. This hasn’t stopped Punk from using his social media though, and he recently used Instagram once again to comment on a post from WWE superstar Rey Mysterio. 

Following the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown in which Rey Mysterio finally snapped on his son Dominik Mysterio, setting up a match for WrestleMania 39, the veteran made a post stating; “Every man has his limits… Don’t forget, she’s not only your mother, but my wife. See you at #WrestleMania.”

CM Punk replied to this post with a short comment, “Good for you Rey. I’ve wanted to punch him for 13 years!”

This is in reference to the feud between Punk and Mysterio dating all the way back to 2010. Their rivalry included an infamous segment where Punk confronted every member of the Mysterio family. Following a whirlwind of controversy, this was a comedic and light-hearted change of pace for Punk.
