Drew McIntyre Vs. Karrion Kross Added To WWE Extreme Rules

It will be a Strap match

Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross will face off in a Strap match at WWE Extreme Rules next month.

McIntyre formally laid down the challenge during Friday night's SmackDown. Kross attempted to attack McIntyre after the segment, but McIntyre fought back and managed to hook Kross to the strap. McIntyre started whipping Kross with the strap, but Scarlett shot a fireball at McIntyre, before giving him a low blow.

Kross then choked McIntyre out with the Kross Jacket, before ending the segment by accepting McIntyre's challenge.

Upon Kross' WWE return on August 5, he attacked McIntyre, and has continued to target him since. Kross has only wrestled in one televised match since returning to WWE, defeating Drew Gulak in a brief match on the August 26 episode of SmackDown.

The current card for WWE Extreme Rules, taking place Saturday night, October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, includes the following:

* SmackDown Women's/Extreme Rules: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

* Fight Pit: Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins

* Strap Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross
