Edge and The Miz will continue their rivalry in a Mixed Tag-Team Match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2022.
The Rated-R Superstar will team with his wife, Beth Phoenix, to take on The A-Lister and his wife, Maryse. The bout was made official following a segment involving all four participant on this week's episode of Raw, after The Miz confronted Edge over the ending to their singles match at WWE Day 1 on Saturday.
As noted, Edge defeated The Miz in their bout on the Premium Live Event after The former WWE Champion was distracted by Phoenix, making her return to WWE television after departing her role on the NXT commentary desk in December.
During this week's Raw, Miz would accuse Edge of hiding behind Phoenix, only for the Glamazon to tell him that her involvement in the match was her own idea.
Edge would then suggest the Tag Team bout at the Royal Rumble, something Miz was not too keen about until Phoenix pressured and coerced him into accepting the match, something Maryse berated him for at the close of the segment.
