EXCLUSIVE: Amir Jordan Admits To Being Frustrated In WWE NXT UK

Amir Jordan revealed all in an exclusive chat with Cultaholic's Tom Campbell

Amir Jordan was a landmark signing for WWE back in 2018, making his debut as part of the United Kingdom Championship Tournament, and The Bhangra Bad Boy remained a part of NXT UK until he and numerous other talents were let go on Thursday, August 18.

Unlike other WWE shows which air live, NXT UK content was filmed at block tapings which could leave talents out of the ring for weeks or even months at a time.

Speaking with Tom Campbell on Desert Island Graps (episode available on Sunday at 9 am BST), Jordan admitted he found this aspect of WWE's UK brand frustrating.

"I'm the type of person that needs to 'go go go'. It got frustrating. It's hard to stay in love with something when it's not there all the time. I was getting frustrated because I wanted to wrestle more. If that's the system that they've set then you've gotta be a professional. There was so many times I considered 'I don't know if this is for me'...I knew my contract was up in May next year. A few people talked me down and told me to stick at it," he said.

Jordan initially performed on WWE TV under that character until June of 2021 before he re-debuted as Tiger Turan. His last match on NXT UK aired on July 7.

NXT UK effectively closed down on Thursday and the brand will be replaced by NXT Europe in 2023.
