EXCLUSIVE: Drew McIntyre, Gunther Open To Competing On WWE NXT Europe

Big stars in Gunther and Drew McIntyre open to working on WWE NXT Europe

Two major main roster talents could appear on WWE NXT Europe when the new brand launches in 2023.

WWE recently closed NXT UK and many of the brand's titles were unified at the Worlds Collide special on Sunday, September 4. The brand will be replaced by NXT Europe next year with a new emphasis on the European continent as opposed to just the United Kingdom.

While the roster will not be decided until 2023, both Gunther and Drew McIntyre revealed to Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell that they would be willing to compete on NXT Europe.

"I think it's still so fresh that they don't have any concrete plans for anything but I'm definitely up to being involved somehow. I think it's a great progression from NXT UK. I think there's a lot of potential in NXT Europe so I hope we can do our part in there," Gunther said.

Drew McIntyre stated in a separate interview: "I'll ask to do it like I asked to do NXT UK but I think I've got more of a chance this time."

Gunther was an integral part of NXT UK during the brand's existence, reigning as NXT UK Champion for 870 days between 2019 and 2021. Drew McIntyre has not competed on NXT UK but he is one of the stars of the main roster as a two-time WWE Champion.
