Finished AEW TNT Championship Belt Revealed

Three months after the strap was unveiled...

At Double Or Nothing 2020, Cody and Lance Archer went one on one for the TNT Championship. The new belt had been unveiled earlier in the day and left many fans underwhelmed. Some even compared it to the WWE 24/7 Title.

AEW quickly announced that the belt hadn't been finished in time for the pay-per-view and RED Leather later confirmed it was impossible to finish the strap by May 23 because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Cody revealed a few weeks ago that the belt would be completed by August 12 and he was presented with the finished title ahead of last night's episode of Dynamite.

Fans were a lot more accepting of the championship this time around as while many thought there could be more detail around the TNT logo, the belt's overall finish and side plates were praised.

How long The American Nightmare can hold on to his newly completed title remains to be seen. Cody has been successful in his nine defences so far, but the constant title matches appear to be taking a toll on the champion and his toughest challenge yet in Brodie Lee is just around the corner.
