First Match Set For AEW Premiere On TNT

All Elite Wrestling starting big!

All Elite Wrestling's as yet unnamed weekly TNT show debuts on October 2, two days before WWE SmackDown Live moves from the USA Network to Fox.

Despite the show being over two months away at this point, the promotion has already announced the first match on the first card. Naturally, one of the Executive Vice Presidents is involved.

Cody will face Sammy Guevara on AEW's first television episode. If you want to see this match live, you can, at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.

The show - presumably to be called Wednesday Night Dynamite once the trademark application has cleared - will air from 8-10 pm Eastern time on TNT.

With wins and losses actually meaning something in this promotion, Cody comes into the match off the back of a win over brother Dustin Rhodes at Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas, and a defeat to The Young Bucks alongside Dustin at Fight For The Fallen.

Sammy lost the pre-show match at DoN to Kip Sabian before coming out on the winning side of things at FFTF in a six-man match.
