Former TNA World Champion Discussed For WWE NXT Crossover

Top TNA star discussed for WWE NXT debut

A former TNA World Champion could soon make their way to WWE TV.

According to Fightful Select, Josh Alexander has been discussed as a potential talent who could appear on WWE programming as part of the working relationship between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling. There were suggestions that Alexander could show up as soon as last night's episode of NXT but Alexander ultimately didn't appear at night two of the Great American Bash.

WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling formed a working relationship in May 2024 after briefly working together at points in recent years. So far, the likes of Jordynne Grace, Frankie Kazarian, The Rascalz, Tatum Paxley, Charlie Dempsey, and Ash By Elegance have crossed over between the two companies.

Joe Hendry, meanwhile, has very much become an NXT regular and WWE and TNA Wrestling reached an "unprecedented" agreement for the former TNA Digital Media Champion that allows him to train at the WWE Performance Center while maintaining all of his TNA and independent wrestling dates.

Josh Alexander has been one of TNA Wrestling's top stars since 2021. He was actually originally planned to regain the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary but TNA opted to go with Nic Nemeth instead due to feeling the planned Joe Hendry vs. Josh Alexander programme didn't need the belt.
