Former WWE Champion Turns Heel On Raw

The Miz is a heel once again on WWE programming. 

Awesome Truth teamed together on Monday's edition of Raw against the Authors of Pain. After R-Truth performed a hot tag to Miz, however, the two-time WWE Champion suddenly kicked his tag team partner in the face and walked out, leaving R-Truth easy prey for AOP to pick up the win. 

The heel turn for The Miz comes after weeks of encouragement from Karrion Kross, with Kross seen laughing after the 43-year-old turned on R-Truth. 

Awesome Truth reunited earlier this year, coming together after Judgment Day prevented R-Truth from joining the faction. The Miz and R-Truth enjoyed early success in their reunion, winning the World Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40, but they dropped the belts after 79 days to Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. 

The Miz has spent the vast majority of his WWE career as a heel, including during his initial run as Awesome Truth with R-Truth which saw them featured in the main event picture of Monday Night Raw in 2011. Their most high-profile match came at Survivor Series 2011 when Awesome Truth lost to John Cena and The Rock.
