Former WWE NXT Star Kassius Ohno Retires, Announces Return Of Chris Hero

In the past year, Kassius Ohno transitioned to more of a coaching role in WWE. After losing to Kushida on April 10, 2019, he primarily wrestled in NXT UK as he tried to enhance the likes of Ilja Dragunov, Tyler Bate, and Dave Mastiff. The Knockout Artist's time in the company came to an end last week, however, as he was released by WWE. 

With his release, Kassius Ohno is no more as the man briefly known as WWE Alumni tweeted an image of his NXT boots in the centre of the ring, signifying his retirement. The Wrestling Genius won't be stepping away from the squared circle just yet, however, as he announced the return of Chris Hero on social media. 

A short video accompanied the announcement that The Wrestling Genius is back. The first half of the clip was in black and white and showed Kassius Ohno being defeated by the likes of Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano, with it ending with Ohno's eight-second loss to Matt Riddle at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. The video then burst into colour and showed Chris Hero dominating opponents on the independent scene and ended with a montage of Piledrivers before "Knockout Artist" and "Wrestling Genius" flashed across the screen. 

Where Hero ends up next remains to be seen but fans have tipped him to have dream matches with the likes of Will Ospreay, David Starr, and Bandido.
