Former WWE Talent Wins Title at MLW Fightland Tapings

A new champion in MLW

A former WWE talent is a champion in Major League Wrestling following the promotion's Fightland taping from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Sunday, October 30.

Dragon Gate's Shun Skywalker clashed with Lince Dorado for the MLW Middleweight Championship at Fightland and after the former WWE talent kicked out of a Standing Moonsault, he followed up with a Handspring Cutter and a Shooting Star Press to capture the title.

Dorado cut a promo following the match and he celebrated his win with Cesar Duran. The former Lucha House Party member was then in action again later in the taping and he and Microman defeated Delirious and Mini Abismo Negro.

Dorado was previously a part of WWE for several years before he was released in November 2021. He made his MLW debut in May of 2022 and he has also performed on the indies and for CMLL in Mexico.

Elsewhere at Fightland, Alexander Hammerstone defended the MLW World Heavyweight Championship in a Last Man Standing Match against EJ Nduka. Jacob Fatu went one-on-one with Lio Rush in the main event.
