Four Titles Change Hands At WWE Extreme Rules (EVENT SPOILERS)

An action packed night...

WWE continued loading up the card for Extreme Rules well into Sunday, and the end result was lots of notable action and occurrences. In all, 13 matches filled out the body of the card, including nine matches where a title was on the line. In four of those cases, a new champion was crowned.

The most newsworthy is Brock Lesnar cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase after the main event, defeating Universal champion Seth Rollins to win the title. Rollins and Becky Lynch had just retained their respective belts after defeating Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans, and the cash-in occurred right after.

Shinsuke Nakamura is the new Intercontinental champion, after defeating Finn Balor during the Kickoff portion of the show, following two Kinshasas.

Speaking of former IWGP Heavyweight champions winning gold, AJ Styles defeated Ricochet to capture the United States title. The finish was a Styles Clash done in reverse off the middle rope.

Finally, Big E and Xavier Woods won SmackDown's Tag Team titles in the triple threat over champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan, and fellow challengers Heavy Machinery. Bryan was pinned following the Midnight Hour.
