Frankie Kazarian Held Talks With WWE Before Signing With IMPACT Wrestling

Frankie Kazarian has revealed that he talked with WWE prior to signing with IMPACT Wrestling.

Speaking with Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Kazarian disclosed that the decision to sign full-time with IMPACT was made roughly 48 hours before last Friday's Hard to Kill pay-per-view and that he did have conversations with WWE as well, saying: 

"In the spirit of transparency, I had great talks with the people at WWE. Those talks could not have been better, positive, more professional. I have nothing but great things to say about everybody in that organisation, especially the people I spoke to and texted with. Ultimately, this was the best fit for me at this stage of my career and this point in my life. I have a great relationship with Scott D'Amore, I have history there, a lot of my legacy is there. At this stage, I was the best fit for IMPACT and IMPACT was the best fit for me".

Kazarian briefly wrestled for WWE in the summer of 2005, but left after just four matches (all of which aired on Velocity). Prior to that, he had wrestled a handful of non-televised 'dark' matches for the company, primarily as an enhancement talent.
