Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb Appear On AEW Dynamite, Attack FTR

United Empire wants the ROH belts

Former IWGP Tag Team champions Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb of United Empire stormed the ring during Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, disrupting the ROH World Tag Team title match between FTR and Roppongi Vice.

Late in the bout, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero hit Dax Harwood with Strong Zero, but Cash Wheeler managed to break up the fall. Seconds later, Great-O-Khan and Cobb ran into the ring, attacking the participants and getting the match thrown out.

Great-O-Khan and Cobb focused their attack on both members of FTR. Cobb powerbombed Harwood through the timekeeper's table, while Great-O-Khan gave Wheeler a claw slam off the apron through another table. The attack ended with United Empire holding the ROH Tag titles.

The attack comes days after FTR accepted Roppongi Vice's challenge for an ROH Tag Team title match. In the same interview, Harwood and Wheeler expressed interest in challenging for the IWGP Tag belts currently held by Bad Luck Fale and Chase Owens of Bullet Club.

Great-O-Khan and Cobb reigned as IWGP Tag Team champions for 22 days this year, from April 9 to May 1.

Cobb previously wrestled a one-off match for AEW in 2020, losing to Jon Moxley.
