IMPACT Wrestling Releases Slammiversary 2021 On VHS

A unique release

In a blast from the past, IMPACT Wrestling have released the Slammiversary 2021 pay-per-view on VHS.

IMPACT announced on Tuesday that the show will be available as an "extremely limited, collectors edition, double cassette VHS." Fans can purchase the VHS for $25 at the IMPACT online store

Few VHS tapes have been produced since the mid-2000s and the last WWE pay-per-view to be released on the tape cassettes was SummerSlam 2005, a show headlined by the infamous Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan match.

With cassette tapes and vinyl having grown in popularity in recent years, though, VHS may well undergo its own resurgence.

Slammiversry 2021 aired on pay-per-view on Saturday, July 17. The show featured several major matches, including Kenny Omega vs. Don Callis in a No DQ Match for the IMPACT World Title, an Ultimate X Match for the X-Division Championship, Moose vs. Chris Sabin, Eddie Edwards vs. W. Morrissey and Deonna Purrazzo vs. Thunder Rosa. The show then went off the air after New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Jay White made his IMPACT debut.
