IMPACT Wrestling Teases Return Of Former World Champion Eric Young

He could return at Slammiversary...

Over the past month, IMPACT Wrestling has teased signing multiple former WWE Superstars who were released by the wrestling behemoth back on April 15. The promotion has even finalised some deals as reports in recent days noted Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson have signed with IMPACT and will make their debuts at or shortly after Slammiversary 2020 on July 18.

IMPACT has previously announced at least one former world champion will return at the pay-per-view and the company teased it could be Eric Young at the end of last night's episode of IMPACT!. Just before the show went off the air, the broadcast cut backstage and showed a golden cape and mask emblazoned with the letter "E." The mask was then suddenly snatched away while Super Eric's music played in the background.

Super Eric was a gimmick used by former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Eric Young back in 2008. While the persona wasn't on TV for long, Young did enjoy some success with it as he captured the TNA World Tag Team Championships with Frankie Kazarian.

The Merchant Of Mayhem competed in IMPACT until 2016 but joined WWE soon after. He went on to lead sAnitY with Alexander Wolfe, Nikki Cross and Killian Dain and the group achieved success in NXT. However, after Young moved to the main roster he was primarily used as enhancement talent.
