Injured Star Teases WWE Return

A certain WWE veteran looks to be on their way back to TV soon

An injured WWE star might not be gone from the company's programming for much longer.

R-Truth has been out of action for the past several months but the 51-year-old is training ahead of an in-ring return, posting a photo on social media of him working out in the gym. This prompted a fan to ask the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion when he would be back in action and Truth teased he would be wrestling again "soon."

When exactly Truth will be back in a WWE ring was not revealed, however.

R-Truth has been out of action since suffering a quadriceps tear on the November 1, 2022, episode of NXT. The former United States Champion sustained the injury during his NXT return match while trying to hit a flip dive over the top rope to Grayson Waller. Truth caught his knee on the top rope, though, and landed badly at ringside. This caused the referee to wave off the match and award the victory to Waller.

Truth confirmed the injury soon after and he underwent surgery to repair the tear.

The 51-year-old is currently in his second run with WWE, having returned to the company in 2008. Along with his two reigns as United States Champion, R-Truth is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, Hardcore Champion, and 54-time 24/7 Champion.
