Jon Moxley Returning To NJPW In April

The Death Rider rides again

New Japan Pro Wrestling have announced that Jon Moxley is set to return to the promotion in April for its Windy City Riot event in Chicago.

NJPW announced Moxley’s return on Twitter, where they posted a promo from Mox. Moxley mentioned the likes of Shingo Takagi, Kazuchika Okada, and Hiroshi Tanahashi, with the camera cutting close to Moxley when he mentioned ‘The Ace’.

With Tanahashi currently in possession of the IWGP United Stated Heavyweight Championship, and with Moxley and ‘The Ace’ pushing for a singles bout in the past, could we finally be getting that dream clash at Windy City Riot? Nothing has been mentioned yet, but it certainly seems like this video is hinting at a potential match-up between the two.

Moxley is a former two-time IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion, and ‘The Death Rider’ last wrestled for New Japan in October 2021, when he and Eddie Kingston lost to Suzuki-gun in a Philadelphia Street Fight during NJPW STRONG Showdown 2021.
