Kamille Wins NWA Women's Title From Serena Deeb At When Our Shadows Fall

Deeb's 228-day reign comes to an end

The NWA Women's World title has changed hands, as Kamille dethroned champion Serena Deeb at When Our Shadows Fall on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.

The finish came following a late-match exchange of half crabs, as the stronger Kamille pinned Deeb with a spear.

Kamille became number one contender for the Women's title after defeating Thunder Rosa at NWA Back For the Attack on March 21. She retained her right to challenge Deeb after going to a twenty minute time-limit draw with Rosa on the May 25 episode of NWA Powerrr.

Deeb won the NWA Women's title from Rosa on October 21 in Long Beach, CA. During her 228-day reign, Deeb successfully defended the championship on six occasions, with each defense coming in All Elite Wrestling. Her last defense prior to When Our Shadows Fall occurred on AEW's Double or Nothing "Buy-In" show last Sunday night, where she defeated Riho by submission.

Though she'd been NWA Women's champion since October, Deeb had been signed with AEW since September 21. She unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Rosa for the belt on Dynamite about three weeks earlier.
