Kenny Omega Explains The Rules Of The Exploding Barbed Wire Match

It won't be for the faint of heart

AEW World champion Kenny Omega tweeted out the details (as well as a handy diagram) of what the Exploding Barbed Wire match with Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution tomorrow night is going to entail.

The set-up and details for the match are as follows:

* Three sides of the ring ropes will be covered in barbed wire. Any contact a person makes with the barbed wire will trigger explosives on that side.

* Floor sections at ringside on three sides of the ring will have platforms that are rigged with exploding barbed wire (which Omega refers to as "triple hell").

* There will be a 30-minute countdown timer. If and when time expires, all of the explosives in and around the ring will detonate.

The match will be third in Omega and Moxley's singles series, dating back 16 months. Moxley defeated Omega in an unsanctioned (and thus "unofficial") match at Full Gear in 2019. Over a year later, Omega defeated Moxley at the "Winter is Coming" edition of Dynamite to become AEW champion, after Don Callis interfered.
