KENTA Suffers Multiple Injuries At Wrestle Kingdom 16, Pulled From NJPW Vs. NOAH

A rough Wrestle Kingdom for KENTA

KENTA squared off with Hiroshi Tanahashi in a gruelling No DQ Match on day two of Wrestle Kingdom 16 for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

Both men battered each other with chairs, tables, kendo sticks, a guitar and even KENTA's old United States Heavyweight Title Right to Challenge Briefcase. The former WWE Superstar also ended the match a bloody mess after Tanahashi pushed KENTA from a ladder and he landed on the trash can below face-first.

Following the match, NJPW have announced KENTA suffered a broken nose, a dislocated left hip, tendon damage to his finger and severe lacerations on his back. He has been pulled from day three of Wrestle Kingdom 16 as a result of his injuries.

Day three of Wrestle Kingdom 16 on January 8 will feature NJPW vs. Pro Wrestling NOAH and KENTA was originally scheduled to team with Sugiura-gun's Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba against Minoru Suzuki, Taichi and TAKA Michinoku of Suzuki-gun.

The third member of Sugiura-gun's team will now be a mystery partner.
