Konnan Doesn't Think Jay White Comes Across As A Star

While many would disagree, AAA booker Konnan doesn't think All Elite Wrestling's Jay White is a star and he believes Tony Khan has "painted himself into a corner" with the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

"I've seen him do some good promos. He doesn't come off like a star and the problem is that Tony [Khan] has painted himself into a corner. You know when you watch these shows like 'Cribs' and sh*t like that and the guy has got like 50 cars and you're like, 'Okay, when do you find time to drive them? Do you drive one every day, what's the deal here?' He's just another great wrestler in a promotion full of great wrestlers. What's your gimmick? That you're a part of the Bullet Club? And?" Konnan said on his Keepin' It 100 podcast.

Jay White signed full-time with All Elite Wrestling earlier this month on a multi-year deal. He has since formed Bullet Club Gold with Juice Robinson and the new faction is feuding with Ricky Starks.

White had previously been a top star in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and he is a former IWGP World Heavyweight, Heavyweight, and Intercontinental champion. He left the promotion in February 2023 when his contract expired.
