Kurt Angle Thinks Vince McMahon 'Is Drooling' Over The Prospect Of Gabe Steveson In WWE

Steveson claimed Olympic Gold last week

Kurt Angle believes WWE Chairman Vince McMahon 'is drooling' over the prospect of signing Olympic Gold Medallist Gabe Steveson in the future.

Already considered one of the best young prospects in the world of wrestling, Steveson made his mark on the international stage by claiming the gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games this past week.

The 21-year-old has already spoken openly about his desire to move into professional wrestling with WWE once his amateur career is done and Angle, a former Olympic Gold Medallist from the 1996 Games, believes WWE's McMahon can't wait to have Steveson on his roster.

Angle reckons Steveson will take his recent momentum into the next Olympic Games, in 2024, before switching to a career in WWE.

Speaking to app.com, Angle said: "I was thinking WWE, Vince McMahon is drooling right now.

"I think that this kid, I think he’s going to continue to wrestle amateur for another four years, probably win another gold medal. Then I think eventually end up in the pro wrestling business or UFC or Bellator MMA. So, the kid has an incredible future."
