Lars Sullivan Issues Statement Regarding Past Controversial Comments

SmackDown Live's Freak issues apology...

Earlier this week, a reddit user compiled a series of controversial forum posts made by SmackDown Live Superstar Lars Sullivan in the past.

Today, via Wrestling Inc, The Freak has issued a statement on those posts after the reddit compilation gathered some serious traction over the last few days: "There is no excuse for the inappropriate remarks that I made years ago. They do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended."

The statement was released after Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Online suggested WWE weren't going to be punishing Sullivan because he apologised to them upon signing with the company.

It appears that many Superstars who work alongside Lars know about his past transgressions online, as Big E replied to a tweet asking about those forum posts: "Many are aware. If true, he has to bear the albatross of being a bigot & working in a company that is now filled with minorities."

Lars is currently working on the SmackDown side of the current European tour, interfering in a couple of matches during each show.
