Major Heel Turn Takes Place At WWE NXT Great American Bash

Heel turn on WWE NXT!

A major heel turn took place on Tuesday night's edition of WWE NXT from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The main event of NXT Great American Bash night two saw MSK of Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz reform to challenge Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Championships. The two-time NXT Tag Team Champions were ultimately unsuccessful in regaining the gold, with Wes Lee being the wrestler to take the pin.

Post-match, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz lifted Wes Lee to his feet, only for the former Dezmond Xavier to superkick Trey out of nowhere. Wentz asked Lee what he was doing but the former NXT North American Champion responded with a swift kick to Wentz's nether regions. Lee then continued the beatdown of Wentz, telling his now-former Rascalz stablemate that Zachary "left him alone."

The beatdown came to an end after Lee hit Wentz with the Double Knees while the former Nash Carter was lying against the steel steps.

The Rascalz had been reunited since the July 9 edition of WWE NXT, with Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel appearing on WWE TV as part of the working relationship between NXT and TNA Wrestling. The Rascalz continued to team together as a trio, including at TNA Slammiversary where they defeated No Quarter Catch Crew, until Lee's turn on Tuesday night.
