Mark Henry And Ivory Rumoured To Be Next WWE Hall Of Fame Inductees

Could they be joining Goldberg and the Dudley Boyz?

Mark Henry and Ivory are set to be the next inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, according to a report from PWInsider. Already officially announced are Goldberg and the Dudley Boyz.

The report states:

'[...]at the Royal Rumble, the word going behind the scenes were that former WWE World champion Mark Henry and Lisa "Ivory" Moretti were also going to be inducted into the Hall.'

Dave Meltzer speculated that Mark Henry was effectively retired in a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, only for Henry himself to refute those claims. He hasn't wrestled since the WrestleMania 33 pre-show, where he was an entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Henry joined WWE in 1996, and has been a mainstay for much of the past two decades. His biggest triumph came at Night of Champions 2011, where he defeated Randy Orton to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Henry is also a former ECW and European Champion. Another notable moment came on the June 17th 2013 edition of Raw, when he interrupted a John Cena promo and delivered a heartfelt retirement speech - before suddenly blindsiding Cena and revealing the whole thing to be a sham.

Ivory - real name Lisa Moretti - joined WWE in 1999, and was initially presented as the love interest of Henry. However, her most notable role perhaps came as a member of the villainous Right To Censor stable. She won the Women's Championship three times during her tenure, before leaving the company in 2005.

In 2016 she returned to WWE programming, appearing on an episode of 'Table for 3' alongside Alundra Blayze and Molly Holly.

The 2018 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on April 6th in New Orleans, Louisiana - the Friday of WrestleMania weekend. Aside from Goldberg and the Dudleys, no further names have been officially announced by WWE.
