Mark Henry Says Cody Rhodes Is More Green Lantern Than Homelander

Much has been said about the similarities between Cody Rhodes and Homelander, with Rhodes himself even commenting on the aesthetic similarities between himself and the main antagonist of The Boys.

However, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry thinks Cody is more like DC’s Green Lantern, saying the following on The Angle podcast:

“I don’t know if Cody Rhodes would be Captain America. If I was going to say Cody is a character, I would make Cody a Green Lantern type of guy because his will is strong and he refuses to let anybody down, he wants to lift up everyone around him. He’s willing to construct something for everybody rather than for the one. Probably more of a Hawkeye, a guy that wears his heart on his sleeve and is a gadget guy, he’s a gimmick guy. I wouldn’t put the all-American boy on him, even though he wears the Homelander haircut and gear," Henry said.

If Rhodes were to form his own Green Lantern Corps in WWE then he could do no worse than recruit 'The Hurricane' Shane Helms and Super Nova, with both stars having paid homage to the Green Lantern during their runs in WWE and ECW respectively.
