Matt Riddle On NXT: "We’re Not The Same Kind Of Watered Down Child’s Product That WWE’s Kind Of Turned Into"

The "King of Bros" has made a rather candid proclamation.

During a brief chat with TMZ Sports, Matt Riddle spoke highly of NXT's prospects as a standalone brand. When asked what it is that makes NXT as popular and special as it is, Riddle didn't mince his words, saying, "We're different, we're new, we're fresh, and we're not like the same kind of watered down child's product that WWE has kind of turned into a lot.

"It's more real. It's more believable."

Riddle also holds apparent ambitions for what NXT could turn into, as though the popularity of NXT (particularly the TakeOvers) gets weighed favorably against WWE's main roster fare, the former UFC competitor believes NXT can surpass the upper brands on a more total scale.

"Funny enough, the other day, I was thinking about it," Riddle says. "I wanted to get to the main roster, but then I was thinking, well, maybe I'm thinking about it wrong, because NXT's so hot. Maybe we should stay, and build NXT, and make it bigger than Raw and SmackDown, and just be the big guy."
