New Day Vs. Sheamus & Ridge Holland Cut For Time, Added To WWE WrestleMania Sunday

WWE WrestleMania 38 began with a bang on Saturday night and the show featured several big moments, including Cody Rhodes' return, Bianca Belar's Raw Women's Title win, and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's first match inside the squared circle in 19 years.

One match was cut for time, though.

New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods vs. Ridge Holland and Sheamus was originally set to have 10 minutes on the show, Fightful Select noted, but the match ended up being shelved after several other bouts went long. 

Kofi Kingston commented on the match being scrapped for night one, tweeting: "To be in the business for an extended duration of time is to experience the highest of highs as well as lowest of lows. Yes, it hurts; but we take it and we use it to propel us forward."

Sheamus also tweeted a scissors emoji. 

WWE have since announced the match will now take place on WrestleMania Sunday. Other matches on the card include a Championship Unification Match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, Edge vs. AJ Styles, and Johnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn.
