New ROH World Title Belt Revealed

New ROH World Title belt unveiled!

Ahead of Ring of Honor's first pay-per-view of 2023 - Supercard of Honor - Tony Khan's promotion have introduced a new ROH World Title belt.

ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli appeared on the Countdown to Supercard of Honor show with the new belt by his side (which can be seen above) as he continued the build to his main event match with Eddie Kingston. The new title belt appears to be inspired by the original ROH World Championship that Castagnoli previously held as the new belt retains the silver plating and bold red writing. The shape of the title has been modified, though, and it now includes a side plate of a wrestler hitting a Jay Driller.

The ROH World Title belt has gone through several iterations since the promotion was founded in 2002. The original design held by the likes of Nigel McGuinness, Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, CM Punk, and Takeshi Morishima was originally retired in 2010 but Jonathan Gresham brought it back in December 2021 at Final Battle, which would prove to be the promotion's final show under Sinclair Broadcast Group ownership.

In another change, the ROH Pure Championship has been re-designed in a similar manner to the ROH World Title, retaining the silver plating and red font. Wheeler Yuta will defend the title against Katsuyori Shibata at Supercard of Honor.

Supercard of Honor will take place tonight in Los Angeles, California. Cultaholic Wrestling will bring you live coverage of the event throughout the night.
