NJPW Announces Super J-Cup 2020

Talent from across the wrestling world will go one on one...

Following a three-year absence, New Japan Pro-Wrestling revived the Super J-Cup in 2019. The tournament was held over three nights in August 2019 along the West Coast of the United States and featured talent from across the wrestling world, including Soberano Jr., Jonathan Gresham, Will Ospreay, Amazing Red and YOH. El Phantasmo won the tournament, defeating Dragon Lee in the final. 

New Japan announced during today's Road To Power Struggle show that the Super J-Cup will be returning in 2020. The single-elimination tournament will be held on December 12 and will be broadcast live on NJPW World. 

Once again, the field will be comprised of talent from multiple promotions, including IMPACT Wrestling's TJP and Chris Bey, Game Changer Wrestling's Blake Christian and Ring Of Honor's Rey Horus. Former WWE Superstar Lio Rush will also be making his NJPW debut at the tournament.
