NJPW Announces The New Beginning USA Tour

Will take place in early 2020

Back in September, NJPW launched New Japan Pro Wrestling Of America, a US subsidiary of the Japanese based promotion. During the press conference, NJPW confirmed the aim of their new venture was to "be ingrained in the everyday fabric when it comes to fans’ wrestling consciousness." They explained this would come about through increasing their live events in the States, with CEO Takami Ohbari announcing they planned to double the number of shows they ran from 13 in 2019 to at least 26 in 2020.

The full card was confirmed over the weekend, with and Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and Jay White vs. Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship headlining night one. The winners of each match will go on to face one another for both titles in the main event of night two.
