NJPW The New Beginning In Sapporo Day 2 Results

Full results from The New Beginning in Sapporo

New Japan Pro-Wrestling held their second New Beginning event in Sapporo on Sunday, February 5 and three championships were on the line.

In the first title defence of the night, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto of Bishamon retained the IWGP Tag Team Championships against Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls of TMDK. Nicholls came closest to scoring an upset following a Blue Thunder Bomb but YOSHI-HASHI made the save for Goto. Bishamon then combined to hit Nicholls with a GTR and Shoto for the 1-2-3.

A fun sprint then took place in the second title match of the night as Zack Sabre Jr. defended the NJPW World TV Championship against Tomohiro Ishii. Both men battered each other throughout the short match before ZSJ scored the victory following a Zack Driver.

In the main event, Hiromu Takahashi defeated YOH following a Time Bomb to retain the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

Elsewhere at The New Beginning in Sapporo, Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado, and Ren Narita challenged House of Torture to a NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Title match in Osaka on February 11. The match will likely be made official in the coming days.
