NXT Listed As TV-14 On The CW Network

NXT will not be PG on CW

Shawn Michaels revealed earlier this week that “changes” were coming to NXT ahead of the brand’s move over to The CW network next week, debuting on the station on Tuesday October 1. Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, Michaels noted that both physical and visual changes were coming. Whilst he didn’t reveal specifically what these changes would be, some reports have revealed that the NXT logo is set to undergo a visual change with a more “metallic” look. Additionally, some have spotted that NXT is currently listed with a TV-14 rating, rather than a PG rating.

Both when searching for the show on The CW’s app and on YouTube TV, NXT is currently listed under TV-14, suggesting that it isn’t simply just an error. The episodes of NXT on the USA Network were rated under WWE’s usual TV-PG rating, as has been the case for WWE programming ever since 2008.

Many shows on The CW are TV-PG, though certain shows have episodes under the TV-14 rating. As of yet, it isn’t known if NXT will undergo any changes in their approach due to this change in rating. It was also reported this week that the Performance Center would be experiencing some change in presentation and look.
