NXT Performer Taynara Conti Released From WWE

More names are emerging...

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that NXT talent Taynara Conti has been released from the company. Johnson notes that additional releases are expected, but no names have been confirmed.

Though Johnson's report indicates that the release took place today, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted that Conti's release came earlier this week, but wasn't revealed until today.

Conti signed with WWE in October 2016. The real-life judoka competed in both the 2017 and 2018 Mae Young Classics.

It was reported in February that Conti had briefly left the company, following an apparent dispute prior to an NXT taping back in mid-January. Reports at the time indicated that Conti refused to take part in a battle royal scheduled for that night.

A week following reports of her walkout, Conti was back with the company, competing in a six-woman tag at a live event on February 15. Her last match occurred on March 6, a loss to Shotzi Blackheart.

Conti joins Deonna Purrazzo, Dan Matha, MJ Jenkns, Nick Comoroto, and Aleksandar Jaksic as NXT in-ring performers that have been released this week.
