Planned WWE Day 1 Championship Match Could Be Reportedly Scrapped

A planned bout may not go ahead

The planned Raw Tag Team Championship Match at WWE Day 1 could have been scrapped amid reports the Number One Contenders Match set for this coming Monday's Raw may not go ahead.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio are due to take on The Street Profits in the RK-Bro-Nament Finals on December 27, with the winners due to challenge Randy Orton and Riddle for the Raw Tag Team Titles at Day 1 next Saturday.

The match was supposed to take place on the December 13 Raw but was postponed due to injuries, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that the bout appears to have been pulled from advertising for next week's show.

Montez Ford has been unavailable in the past few weeks and it appears the Street Profits member may still be unable to compete, putting the match with the Mysterios in uncertain territory.

With that in mind, and with Day 1 set for Saturday 1 January, it appears the Raw Tag Team Title match at WWE's next pay-per-view may not go ahead as originally planned.
