R-Truth Injured During WWE NXT Match

R-Truth suffered an apparent knee injury on last night's episode of NXT

WWE star R-Truth was seemingly injured during last night's episode of NXT.

Truth was wrestling against Grayson Waller in the opening match of the show when he attempted a flip dive over the top rope to the floor. However, replays showed that he didn't quite clear the top rope and that his knee collided with it.

After a commercial break, Truth was walked backstage by WWE medical staff, with the referee declaring Waller the victor of the match (as his opponent was no longer able to compete).

Post-match, Waller cut a promo saying that he was sick and tired of being overlooked, while claiming that he had just beaten a 20-year WWE veteran 'on his own'.

Truth has resurfaced on WWE television in recent weeks. As well as his appearances in NXT, he also showed up on this past Monday's episode of Raw, interrupting a Baron Corbin and JBL promo.

WWE have yet to comment on the nature or severity of Truth's injury.

Truth has previously said he would like to work in WWE creative once his time in the ring is over.
