Report: AEW Looking To Pay Off Long Running Storyline Soon

AEW finally looking to bring long running storyline to a close

After almost a year of animosity, All Elite Wrestling are reportedly looking to finally bring a long-running rivalry to a close.

Despite not following up on the blood feud for several months, AEW are looking to finally give Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland a blow-off, with the two becoming involved once more during the recent Blind Eliminator Tag Tournament.

A report from Fightful Select suggests that plans are in the works for Swerve vs. Keith, with a blow-off singles match between the two long awaited by fans after the former AEW World Tag Team Champions spectacularly fell out in Autumn 2022.

Since splitting, Swerve formed the Mogul Affiliates before merging the group with ROH’s Embassy, the former helping Swerve crush Lee with a cinderblock. The animosity between Lee and Strickland was hot following their split, but was put on the back-burner for several months to the dismay of AEW fans.

The pair reigned as AEW World Tag Team Champions for 70 days, defeating The Young Bucks for the straps at Fyter Fest in July 2022, before dropping them to The Acclaimed at Grand Slam.
